Job Description
Title: Implementation/Artwork Designer

Department: Implementation

Location: China - Guangzhou

Description: A Implementation/Artwork Designer contributes to the artwork process by facilitating a design’s transition from the design phase to the implementation phase. He/she works closely with both Creative Services and the Brand Implementation teams to ensure alignment with the original design intent and printability and product excellence. A Implementation/Artwork Designer is responsible for project execution and focuses on entry-level learning in the areas of technical skill, brand processes, and team interaction.

Job Requirements
- Develop understanding of brand equities and execute design solutions within limits, ensuring consistency across the brand.
- Utilize available resources to ensure product excellence (e.g., Quality Assurance).
- Create all artwork as stated in all current department and/or brand process CBAs for assigned brand work.
- Adhere to File Ready requirements.

Client Contact (internal and external)
- Work with downstream suppliers, as guided by their manager or project lead, to ensure successful execution of original design intent.
- Check with Client Services and Creative Services to ensure client objectives, original design intent, legal requirements and technical specifications are met.
- Does not interact directly with external clients.

Scope of Analytical Ability
- Adapt the design solution across multiple media formats, SKUs, sizes and forms.
- May follow a job through final release of artwork based on brand process and brand need.
- Impact of decision-making restricted to a project.

Prerequisites
- Four year degree in Graphic Design, or equivalent education or experience.
- Moderate experience in relevant design industry in the Asian region (a must have for this position).
- Ability to execute design solutions in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat.
- Ability to use Apple Keynote or similar presentation software.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically solve problems.
- Evidence of experience translating a design across multiple media formats, SKUs, sizes and forms.
- Understanding of various printing methods and substrates.
- Must be fluent in English and Chinese.
